How do I make my first booking?▼
Search for a vehicle, select your dates and click Book. You need a verified account with DPI or passport.
What if the vehicle has a mechanical problem during the rental?▼
Contact the host right away: the vehicle is theirs and it's on them to solve it. If they don't respond, or the vehicle wasn't as advertised, open a dispute from "My trips" with evidence; Vribe reviews the case and refunds what it processed for your booking, under the terms of the Vribe Traveler Guarantee.
When is my deposit released?▼
The deposit is released 24 hours after completing the return inspection with no new damage. Some vehicles don't ask for a deposit: in that case there's nothing to release.
Can I cancel my booking?▼
Yes. The refund depends on the vehicle's policy, which you see at checkout before paying: Flexible (100% up to 24 h before), Moderate (100% up to 72 h before, 50% between 24 h and 72 h) or Strict (100% up to 7 days before, 50% between 48 h and 7 days). The security deposit is refunded in full in every case.
What does the AI inspection do?▼
It analyzes up to 8 vehicle photos with artificial intelligence to document damage, mileage and anomalies before and after each rental.
How does the Trust Score work?▼
It is built from verifiable facts: verifying your identity adds points, every completed trip adds, and damage or late cancellations subtract. The full points table is in the legal centre, and it is the same one the system applies.
Can I list my vehicle if I live outside Guatemala?▼
For now we only accept vehicles based in Guatemala. We'll soon expand to El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica.
What if the host doesn't show up?▼
If the host does not hand over the vehicle, you get a 100% refund and the host takes a Trust Score penalty. The exact value is in the table in the legal centre.
